My Story

I've always been an artist. There isn't a time in my life where I didn't have a pencil in my hand. I remember as a kid, telling everyone that I was going to be an artist when I grew up. Then, I changed my mind and wanted to be a biologist, then an astronomer, and back to a biologist. I certainly tried to do all of those things as I was growing up. I got a microscope because I wanted to look at a microscopic world all day. I bought books about stars and spent hours watching shows like "How the Universe Works." I did all of that as a child, trying to find what I loved most, but none of those interests stuck with me. The one thing that I never stopped doing, which was always there in the back of my mind, was art.

Now, I've gone full circle, and I am an artist. It is who I am and what I want to do.

I'm seventeen years old, and a senior in high school. I am taking one AP art class and an independent study for art. I'm looking at art schools to run off to when I finish high school.

Looking back to my passion as an artist, I have no idea where it came from, or who might have inspired it, or why I became who I am today, but I'm certainly glad that whatever happened, happened.
